GDPR AND HOW IT AFFECTS YOU ?

I am committed to protecting your privacy. The information collected about you in order to process your enquiry will only be used lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation. Your email address and phone number will only be used to communicate directly with you and your details will not be passed onto third parties for any marketing purposes.  Reasonable efforts will be made to safeguard the confidentiality of your information, however, no liability will be taken for disclosure of any information obtained due to errors in transmission or the unauthorised acts of third parties. I will not share any of your information with any third parties except when required by law, police, court order or as requested by other government or law enforcement authorities.

YOUR RIGHTS:

  • Deletion of Information: you can ask for the information to be deleted by making a request in writing to me. Should you request this then all your paper records would be shredded and all electronic data such as emails or text messages would be permanently deleted from the devices they are stored on. However, I would have to save the deletion request you made but would not save any other data.

  • Seeing what information is held: You are now able to ask to see any information that is held about you within 30 days of asking.

  • Recording & safeguarding personal info: For the purpose of our work together, I collect information on your goals, a small amount of medical information and relevant background & personal information, alongside brief session notes. This information helps me to refer to the content of previous session notes. Your contact details and GP’s details will only be used with your explicit consent. All paper notes are kept in lock and key and the electronic information is always password protected. 

  • Confidentiality: all sessions are strictly confidential. Cases may be discussed with my supervisor to provide best possible service however in no circumstance, any identifying details about you will be disclosed. Also, I am obligated by GDPR to protect your confidentiality if we meet away from the hypnotherapy session, therefore, I may acknowledge you if you acknowledge me but it would be better to avoid any further conversation. However, if you wish to discuss your therapy with other people, you are welcome to do so. The only exceptions where it may become necessary to disclose information is on grounds of criminal activities, child protection or safeguarding i.e. preventing self harm or harm to others due to unaddressed mental issues. 

  • Cookies & Google Analytics: This website uses cookies and analytics to ensure smooth running of the website and to analyse behaviour of the visitors. This information does not identify you personally. You can know more about the Google analytics terms on https://policies.google.com/privacy and about cookies on aboutcookies.org.

  • Third party sites: should there be any links to or from third party website, please note that they have their own privacy policies and that I do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

  • Newsletter subscription: should you wish to unsubscribe from email newsletter then you can do so by using the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email newsletter or by emailing simrat@braintreeperformancecoaching.com and requesting to unsubscribe.
